The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Selected the Incorrect Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the most recent animated adventure from the beloved role-playing group, unveiled an exciting opening credits. It showcases the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and criminals kicking ass and making their mark, while also hinting at multiple heart-wrenching personal histories for characters including the voice actor's wizard Caleb, and another actor's orc warlock, the character Fjord.

All in all, the intro appears stunning. But I couldn't help feeling that an element was missing in the song choice.

The intro uses "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song composed by artist the talented musician. This piece originating from the soundtrack album of that title, the second release put out by Critical Role Productions LLC's music division their music brand. It's a wonderful sentimental choice, and I suspect that devotees of the sequel series will appreciate its inclusion.

Personally, The series' opening fails to capture the hype and excitement that accompanied the show's live-play sessions. "Your Turn to Roll", written by musician the artist, became an immediate hit for me when it was initially unveiled in 2015, and it only got better when cast member Sam Riegel added lyrics to the melody for the animated Campaign 2 opening in the later year.

Including singing from Ashley Johnson, another performer, a co-star, as well as the writer, the song was catchy and fun. At the time, I hadn't even watched the second campaign at that point, but it was so infectious that I still saved it on my device. It's a song that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an episode of adventurous fun.

The show's opening with "the new song" fails to hit the right notes for me. It's a grand composition, but from what I know of this party, I can't help but feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Of course, Critical Role has already said that the series will have some changes and variations from the actual-play campaign. A tonal change for its intro appears as one of them.

This animated adventure will be released on the streaming service from Nov. 19. For those eager until then, or wish to prepare to learn about the personas of Critical Role's Campaign 2, the actual play are accessible on the audio platform and the video site.
